Fans of Britney Spears may not be fans much longer, especially since those who attended her concert on Friday night in Perth, Australia, were so disgusted with her mediocre performance that they stormed out, insisting that Spears was too terrible to watch.
Some fans paid upwards of $200.00 per ticket.
The mass exodus began after Spears had just three songs under her belt, and fans say they were unhappy with her pitiful performance and lip-synching.
One fan told the Sydney Daily Telegraph that the concert was "crap," and said Spears "let them down." Other concert goers complained that they were unable to see Spears on massive screens above the stage because she performed most of her songs with her back to the cameras.
Friday night's outrage came just 24 hours after Virginia Judge, the New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading, urged ticket agencies to warn fans about touring stars who don't sing live. Taking aim at Spears in particular, Judge said:
"Live means live. If you are spending up to $200, I think you deserve better than a film clip. The NSW Government would be happy to look at options, such as a disclaimer on a ticket which would warn consumers a performance is pre-recorded."
