Joan Collins Turns Back Time

 
The actress posed for jeweller Alexis Bittar, who has unveiled a costume jewellery line appropriately called Superbitch, said to have been inspired by the Alexis Carrington character.

Miss Collins, whose husband is a mere 44, has insisted she would never resort to cosmetic surgery to preserve her looks. On Wednesday she wasn't saying whether she had the same views on a little airbrushing.

In the past she has said: "In front of the camera my skin probably isn't nearly as good as it used to be. But, what the hell, everybody's got to get older.'

Letterman Asked O'Brien to Appear in Super Bowl Ad

 

Conan O'Brien was offered the opportunity to return to TV -- even if it was for only 15 seconds. According to Entertainment Tonight, the former Tonight Show host was asked by David Letterman's team to appear in a Super Bowl commercial with Dave, Jay Leno and Oprah Winfrey. However, Conan chose to politely decline.

I'm thinking this was because one of the stipulations by NBC for letting Conan out of his contract  prohibits Conan from making any television appearances until September, which includes television commercials. 

Then again, maybe he just didn't want to do it, and if that's the case, I can't say I blame him.

After an impressive showdown in Miami, Reggie Bush showed he has what it takes to win big. Not only does he have an impressive new ring to show off, but also his own Milk Mustache.

The 13th annual winning football Milk Mustache ad ran in USA Today on Monday, February 8.

Katarina Van Derham Named Official Bar Wench of St. Pauli Girl - Again

 
Katarina Van Derham has been named the 2010 St. Pauli Girl spokesmodel, marking the first time in the history of the beer company that the same woman has served as the German barmaid icon for two years in a row. 

As my husband would say: "Now that's impressive!"

Van Derham, a native of Slovakia who now makes her home in sunny Los Angeles, beat out the competition in an online vote in 2009, and toured the country as the official spokesmodel for the beer brand.

Van Derham is no stranger to the camera.  She was featured in an episode of Entourage last season playing opposite Bob Saget. She's also appeared on the TV shows Monk and CSI, and in the films Cellular and 15 Minutes.

She's also done ad campains for AT&T, Dodge, Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier.

Britney Spears and Candie's Pair Up for 2010

Britney Spears and Candie's have paired up again for another go 'round this year. 

On Thursday, Iconix Brand Group announced it had renewed its exclusive partnership with Spears for the Candie's brand line, allowing Spears to continue appearing in Candie’s ad campaigns throughout 2010.

Said Britney:

"I had a great experience working with Candie’s and Kohl’s last year and I am thrilled to be asked to sign on again for a second year. We're planning some very cool photo shoots and I can't wait for my fans to see them."

Spears recently wrapped her world tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, which Candie’s and Kohl’s were associate sponsors. The tour started in Britney’s home state of Louisiana in March 2009, and was the # 4 highest grossing tour of the year, bringing in a total of $83 million.

Mother Nurture: Rebecca Romijn Got Milk Ad

Actress and mom Rebecca Romijn has donned her second Milk Mustache - this time with her twin daughters - Charlie and Dolly - to encourage moms to set the table with milk and build strong families.

The ad will debut in Us Weekly and People magazine on Friday.

Paris Hilton: No "Vacancy"

 

Paris Hilton is threatening legal action against a company that used her picture on a billboard with the word "vacant" written across it.  The ad, which appears in Auckland, NZ., shows Hilton out and about partying, and is advertising the vacant billboard space.

Hilton's manager, Jamie Freed, reportedly said that the company, Media5, did not gain proper permission to use Hilton's image - and to expect to hear from her attorney.

Media5's Adam McGregor said the company was just having a "bit of fun" with the billboard, which was designed to draw attention to unsold space. 

McGregor told the Sunday Star Times:

"A friend had come up with the concept of using high-profile public figures. We were thinking about using Winston Peters, but Paris is much prettier and she has a proven ability to laugh at herself..." 

 - Or not.

Son of Billy Mays Approves of Halloween Costumes

The son of late TV pitchman Billy Mays says he has no problem if people dress up like his dad for Halloween - in fact, Billy Mays III is so accepting of Halloween costumes of his famed father that he's holding a Hallow-clean Contest,  inviting people to send in photos of their best Mays costume and offering them a chance to win unspecified Billy Mays prizes. 

Billy Mays III, whose father died June 28 at age 50, is also honoring his father with the Web site, Where's Billy Mays?

The son of the Home Shopping Network star said on the Web site that his motivation for the Halloween contest is fostering a feeling of positivity: 

"All I'm trying to do is spread some positivity out there in the world. Couldn't hurt, could it?" 
 

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker: Steaming Up London Fog

Eva Longoria Parker and her husband, NBA San Antonio Spurs champion starting point guard, Tony Parker, will appear in the London Fog holiday marketing campaign.

This is the first fashion campaign they have appeared in together.

Nicole Sullivan Called Jenny Craig

Nicole Sullivan has signed up to be the next celebrity endorser for Jenny Craig. 

Sullivan, who stars on Rita Rocks, gave birth to her second child in August and is said to be looking forward to returning to her pre-pregnancy weight. 

Sullivan says she hopes to lose 35 pounds: 

"I'm so excited to start my program with Jenny Craig. I had such a hard time losing the weight the first time around. I was depressed, I feel like I tried every diet in the book. I want to take care of myself, look good, feel good, and run after my kids.

When I researched all of the different weight-loss programs, Jenny Craig was the only program to offer a personal consultant. Finally, someone I can talk to, who gets to know me and who I can learn from! I have about 35 pounds to lose and refuse to go on crazy diets again, so I called Jenny."
